South Eastern Community Connect (SECC) is a non-profit community organisation with 45 years’ experience providing a range of services, programs, information and advocacy to people with disability, children, older people and the wider community in the Bayside (Botany), City of Sydney, Randwick, Waverley and Woollahra communities. As a successful, community based organisation, SECC offers an “all stage of life” service approach and aims to improve the quality of life for all people through social inclusion and elimination of all forms of discrimination.

SECC’s services include before- and after-school care and vacation care (approved OOSH provider) programs across five schools, family support, advice, information, advocacy and referral, case work, social support, community and individual transport, respite care, food services, a Dementia Day Centre, playgroups, outreach services in collaboration with community legal and public housing services, and a range of classes and programs to assist the community to stay connected and develop new skills. SECC works within a community development framework and upholds the principles of social justice, access, equality, equity, respecting diversity, participation and human rights for all people. Consultation and co-design in the planning and development of programs and activities are integral to the SECC approach, which utilises the evidence-based Harwood Model of community engagement.
